Before your appointment

You'll usually start with a short intake form so your practitioner has the basics before you even speak. It's worth setting aside ten quiet minutes for it — the more context you give, the more useful the conversation.

Find a private, well-lit spot with a stable internet connection. Have any relevant history handy: past treatments you've tried, other conditions, and anything you're currently taking. A few notes on what you'd like to get out of the appointment go a long way.

During the consult

A telehealth appointment is a real clinical consultation — just over video. Your practitioner will ask about your history, your goals and how things are affecting your day-to-day, then talk through the options that make sense for your situation.

Good care isn't rushed. Ask questions. If something isn't clear, say so. And if a particular approach isn't the right fit for you, a good practitioner will tell you honestly rather than push it.

After the appointment

You'll leave with a clear plan and an understanding of the next steps. Ongoing care matters more than any single visit, so expect regular check-ins to see how things are tracking and to adjust as needed.

At Balance Telehealth, all of that lives in one place — your patient platform — so you're never chasing paperwork or repeating your story from scratch.

Is telehealth right for everyone?

Not always. Some situations genuinely need an in-person examination, and a responsible clinic will refer you on when that's the case. Telehealth is a tool, not a shortcut — the goal is the right care, delivered the most convenient way that's still safe.
